VIE Hotel, luxe living in Bangkok

VIE Hotel in Bangkok is beside the Rachathewi BTS Skytrain Station

Evening flight. Late night arrival. No airport pick-up. Taxi or bus. Airport rail link to the city was still open. Front door delivery.

This is what I love about Bangkok, it has made traveling convenient for everyone and the airport link to the city is just the best. It swiftly transports me to the city, connects my ride to the BTS or MRT and gets me to my final destination in a flash. Bangkok’s infamous traffic jam is non-existent along this path.

Whatever it is that’s taking me to Bangkok—shopping, a transient stop or business, I always consider a hotel’s location when choosing one. One beside the skytrain station is always the best choice and VIE Hotel fits the bill.

The chic, modern and upscale VIE Hotel is only 30 minutes from the airport via the airport rail link and enjoys a prime location in Bangkok. It’s a few steps away (and I mean it) from Rachathewi BTS Skytrain station making it a quick dash to wherever you may have to be.

A luxurious address a few steps from the BTS Skytrain

The major plus is its close proximity to everyone’s dream destination—the major shopping and entertainment complexes of the city. Siam Paragon is a sort walk away, Central World and MBK are two stops away via skytrain and Platinum Mall is just at its backyard.

The French company-designed property gave VIE Hotel the look and feel of 21st century spirit of the city—vibrant and colorful, and injects exotic touches of the Thai culture.

Details matter

The hotel introduces its guests to exclusive pleasures and sensory discoveries from the moment they are welcomed at the “living room,” the Vie Lounge, to having a sumptuous meal at the stylish VIE Wine & Grill, voted by Thailand Tatler as ‘Best Restaurant’ in 2010 and 2011; from enjoying cocktails and live music at the VIE Bar to indulging on a premium puff at VIE Cigar; from a rejuvenating therapy at the VIE Spa (the Jetlag Recovery Massage was just what I needed to recover from a very long trip) to escaping to any one of VIE Hotel’s 154 private, well-appointed sanctuaries, each with its own panoramic view of the dynamic city.

Always the best space to escape to: the spa.

From the window of VIE Suite 8, my home for a night, the city was sparkling in the late hours. But as much as I would love to explore it, the lavish yet cool and calming vibe of the suite was more seductive— the living room was spacious and perfectly lit. The wide, immaculate bed with its numerous pillows promised a restful slumber and the vast bathroom with a large bathtub was particularly alluring.

Welcome to Suite #8. The bedroom opens to a spacious living room .

The luxury of space

If there is one feature of the room I am in love with, it would be the large picture windows (floor to ceiling, no less) that enveloped the suite. Not only does it offer a picturesque view of the Bangkok sunrise, or the bustling metropolis by day and its glowing image at night, it also allows the natural light to bathe the room and brighten every corner, it’s very energizing if you ask me.

A handwritten welcome note is a sure winner! The turn-down treat will make you sleep with a smile on you face.

So does the sunrise greeting you a good morning from bed.

A night in this 5-Star (Boutique) Hotel is just not enough to fully enjoy the luxurious offerings of VIE Hotel. I may have to come back again…. soon.

For a total Thai expereince, VIE Hotel provides free tuktuk ride to the major shopping centers within its vicinity.
